Events in recent years have made us all too familiar with the havoc that natural disasters can wreak, and the increasing frequency and intensity with which they are occurring. Despite record levels of losses, conventional methods of catastrophe risk modeling continue to paint at best, an incomplete picture of these threats. uses novel data gathering and machine learning approaches to produce higher quality information about the risks to property, from catastrophes like floods and wildfires. While AI alone may not be able to thwart these disasters, it can help communities around the world become more prepared for them, and ultimately that will lead to better outcomes for business and society.

As a Technical Content Strategist, you are an analytical thinker, expert writer, and think broadly about the implications of whitepapers, articles, presentations, and multimedia. You want to set the standard for quality content; you are organized, self-directed, ready to develop a content strategy that is backed by data, and want to lead by example when it comes to creating great content. You thrive in a collaborative and creative environment that moves fast and are comfortable learning new skills while collaborating with data scientists and marketing/sales people. 

The Opportunity:

  • Lead development efforts of whitepapers, blog posts, video content, presentations, social media, and more that change how industries view AI, drives leads, and helps close deals
  • Set a standard for design through hands on work as well as managing contractors when necessary
  • Leverage the technology built by to use data (including property, geospatial, and climate data across geographies) that brings insights to light that only can provide
  • Work with our technical teams to turn large datasets into actionable insights for our clients or the larger public through strategically developed content
  • Support the senior leadership team in their strategic priorities (including messaging) and act as a key point of contact for data scientists and marketing teams at our partner organizations
  • Work closely with product managers and data scientists to translate complex data into marketing resources
  • Win the hearts and minds of executives and policymakers as they advance decades-old processes into the world of AI

What You Bring to the Team:

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated ability to write accurate and engaging content 
  • Broad experience, but not necessarily mastery, with Adobe Suite or similar
  • Outstanding communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple/competing priorities and deliver on time
  • Interest in developing content about insurance, real estate, artificial intelligence, wildfire, and climate-driven risks
  • Excitement to be a part of insurtech and property tech industries
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the US or Canada

Nice to Have:

  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Proficiency in Google Apps Script (or Javascript)
  • Exposure to insurance, real estate and risk modeling
  • Interest in GIS software (arcGIS, QGIS)
