World Vision is a Christian humanitarian, development and advocacy organisation devoted to improving the lives of children, families and their communities around the world. Our 34,000+ staff members working in nearly 100 countries are united in helping the most vulnerable children overcome poverty and experience fullness of life.

Here’s where you come in:

*Position location to be determined by home country of successful candidate in a jurisdiction (US state or country) where WVI is registered to operate.

By 2026 World Vision aims to undergo a significant cultural transformation and become an agile organisation to deliver on our global strategy, Our Promise. The People and Organisation Capability (POC) team is a global centre of expertise that will play a significant part in helping the organisation achieve that goal. However, to become an effective catalyst for developing an agile people development ecosystem across the Partnership, the POC team must become an agile organisation itself – focus on the customer, work in rapid cycles and embrace continuous improvement as an operating model. For that purpose, we have created a new role – a Senior People Advisor.

As the Senior People & Organisational Capability Advisor, you will “own” delivery of the POC’s expertise to one or more of the World Vision’s various entities (including VisionFund International). As a senior and critical customer-facing role, you will provide consulting, co-creation, and contextualisation of global solutions to those entities and rapid delivery and feedback. You will also play a crucial role in co-creating POC’s solutions. Therefore a significant part of the role includes owning a strategic area of expertise and collaborating with others in agile teams on creating new solutions.**

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor degree from a college or university and seven or more years of related human resources
  • 10 years of experience and deepening expertise in at least one of the key areas of POC – Talent Management, Leadership Development, L&D, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Change Management, Culture Change, Succession Planning, Organisational Agility or Employee Analytics.
  • At least basic-level proficiency and experience in the remaining POC areas as listed above.
  • At least 5 years of experience of managing senior stakeholders’ expectations and a track record or making a significant impact on stakeholders.
  • At least 5 years of consulting experience at a senior level – whether within HR or as part of a consulting firm, evidenced by clients’ or managers’ feedback.
  • A strong team player, highly collaborative, able to work effectively with people radically different from self, works well in remote teams, excellent interpersonal communication skills.

  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
