QuickBooks Training Consultant

Synergy for Justice is seeking the services of a bilingual (Arabic and English) consultant to support training of a human rights organization operating in Turkey on newly established QuickBooks accounting software. The training must be completed in Arabic language and take into consideration the beginner level of the users. It is preferable that the consultant is based in Turkey to allow travel to meet with the partner and conduct the training in their premises. The period of work is expected to be in December 2022.

Roles and responsibilities:

  1. Assessing the organization’s staffing and operational structure to understand the scope of the training needs for QuickBooks accounting software.
  2. Drafting a training schedule and training plan in coordination with Synergy’s finance manager and its partners’ finance officer.
  3. Draft a brief quick guidance document based on the training to be used by the partner organisation’s finance officer as a future reference guide. Guidance documents should be drafted in both English and Arabic language.
  4. Complete training of partner’s finance officer. Training is preferable to be in person in Antakya, however, remote training is also possible. Training should be in the Arabic language.
  5. Conduct follow up meetings with Synergy and the partners’ finance team to review implementation and answer any questions.

Deliverables:

  1. Training schedule and plan
  2. Brief quick guidance document
  3. Final report with recommendations for additional trainings needed.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years’ experience working with QuickBooks accounting software. Experience working on finance with NGOs based in Turkey is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience developing training plans and conducting training for the finance team on QuickBooks is required.
  • Experience with major donors (EU, US, UN and non-governmental) procurement compliance regulations strongly preferred
  • Fluent English and Arabic language skills are required
