Background:
Training Programs in Epidemiology & Public Health Interventions Network (TEPHINET), in collaboration with CDC, is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator Consultant to support activities of the Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) Network in South America. The Project Coordinator will be based in Brasilia and will serve as the main liaison between TEPHINET, the CDC South America Regional Office, FETP HQ, REDSUR, and other stakeholders.
The consultant fees will be competitive and commensurate based on the local market rate in Brasilia, the consultant’s level of education and experience, and the project scope.
Specific Duties:
- Serve as the main liaison with TEPHINET Project Manager and Project Coordinator (e.g., reporting, researching translators and interpreters, facilitating payments, etc.)**
- Manage correspondence with MOHs and identified participants**
- Help identify local source for document translation (English into Dutch) and videoconference management and facilitation, including with simultaneous interpretation
- Arrange procurement of supplies
- Provide oversight of translation, printing, collation, and shipment of supplies and materials
- Convene planning calls
- Take and distribute planning meeting notes
- Serve as liaison between TEPHINET, SAM, FETP HQ, REDSUR, faculty, participants, and video conferenciers
- Facilitate the dialogue with FETP country coordinators, including during workshops and meetings, compiling notes and systematizing the results of the discussions
- After virtual workshops, help plan for any in-person follow up travel in Fall 2021 as necessary and as permissible with travel restrictions (e.g. COVID-19 travel restrictions)
Requirements:
- Background in Public Health required; Master of Public Health degree preferred
- Demonstrated skills in diplomacy for engagement with multiple domestic and international partners
- Fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, oral and written
- Must be based in Brasilia. Remote work not possible.
Contract Period: March 2021 – September 2021 (7 months)
- The selected candidate will be expected to start in March 2021
