Photographer
PART-TIME (not freelance), 12 hours/week
Under the supervision of the Communications and Multimedia Engagement Manager, the photographer will document the diversity of our community, programs, and collections. This includes photographing library and community events, taking portraits of staff and patrons, staging product shots of circulating materials, documenting daily life at the library, shooting images for use in print publications and social media posts, and other assignments. The photographer will also edit, crop, color correct, and prepare images for print and digital publication, maintain metadata and healthy digital archives, and assist in curating images for publication and various promotional uses. Additionally, they may assist the staff videographer with equipment setups.
Selected Responsibilities:

Edits, crops, color corrects, and prepares images for print and digital publication
Maintains metadata and healthy digital archives
Assists in curating images for publication and promotional use
Maintains current knowledge of library and equipment
Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance
Selected Requirements:
At least 3 years of professional or freelance experience
Strong portfolio of documentary and editorial work
Proficiency with photo editing workflows and software like Photoshop and Lightroom
Knowledge of web and print production
Familiarity with DSLR cameras and lenses
Familiarity with social media

A pay range for new hires in this position is $20.96 to $26.20 per hour. Offers are made within this range based on competencies, experience, and internal equity.
