The role

The Communications Admin Intern will act as the main Communications customer service point of contact at TWB, managing communications and optimization of the organization’s inboxes, phone, and social media messages and queries. The Communications Admin Intern will support internal TWB team communications through onboarding, team meetings, and general team support. The role will identify, support, and lead on new ways to creatively engage with people reaching out to TWB. They will work closely with the rest of the communications team, supporting new initiatives as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support the success of TWB email communications with ongoing administration duties and managing inboxes

  • Create, manage, and update email response workflow, templates, and guide

  • Incorporate communications workflows and help to create automations in HubSpot and other tools, as needed

  • Manage, route, and respond to TWB phone calls and messages

  • Manage responding to social media messages on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, and other platforms as we grow

  • Manage responding to social media and blog comments to help boost engagement on those channels

  • Support TWB communications onboarding, ensuring new team members have the welcome pack and helping answer questions and resolve issues

  • Manage routine web updates and posting, including vacancy posts, team, press pages, and others

  • Schedule TWB-wide team meetings

  • Create contracts and purchase orders as needed

  • Audit internal and external content across various web properties

  • Support with other communications initiatives, as needed

Qualifications

TWB is seeking an energetic team player with a passion for communications and customer service. They should be enthusiastic about the importance of increasing access to knowledge through language. The right candidate agrees with TWB´s basic beliefs and values and can work virtually with team members based throughout the world.

  • Requirements Enrolled in or recently graduated (within the last 2 years) from a university degree program in humanities, communications, or related field

  • Experience as an intern in a communications, marketing, PR, or similar role

  • Experience using social media marketing tools

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity with Microsoft and Google products

  • Excellent English writing and editing skills. Writing sample will be required.

  • Demonstrated interest in language issues.

  • Knowledge and experience using online marketing tools such as WordPress, HubSpot, MailChimp and design programs.

  • Willingness to work in a small team with a range of team members

  • Willingness to explore different outreach mechanisms, electronic and in person.

  • Resourceful, able to self direct.
